DAYWALKERS

A people so vile and corrupt
That the very skin they walk in
Is stained with ashes and soot
From the very blackness of our souls
Our sins become written on our bodies
And we become lost in our ways

I've been walking around lifeless
I've been living without a purpose
I've been striving for truth
And everything I touch falls apart

For I have the desire to do what is right
but not the ability to carry it out
I am broken and have been mislead
Oh Father help me find my way

Rather than a force to shake it
Hoping that You are what is seen
When people look at us

GRAVES

I kept digging my own grave
With every breath
You came to lay in it
You died and took my place

Wretched man I am!
Who will deliver me
from this body of death?

Help me to see the light
I've been walking around so blind
Graves continue to line the ground that I walk
And everywhere I turn I can’t run from your sight

The further I am from you
The worse I become
And I'll keep kicking and screaming
The kingdoms already come

Why can’t I just be alright
Why is this a constant lie
To my self and those around me
We continue to walk around life less
God just make me anew
