Thousands of winters and
Thousands of sun rises
Harvest and spring
Have come and gone by
Endless waiting
Till the appointed time
Of our Immanuel

The wise men
followed a star
God set in the sky

To the humbled king
Lord at His birth
This child has come
The Savior of Earth
Fulfilling the prophets of old
The Messiah foretold

He has come
To save all those
Who in their heart
Enthrone Him as king

This babe in a manger
Though lowly in sight
Defeats sin and death
By faith we will sing

Immanuel
God with us
Praise be His Holy name
Our Savior was born
In Bethlehem
The Incarnate
Son of God
Left His throne in heaven
To spill His blood

The Son of David, the Lion of Judah
The promised Snake Crushing Son
The earth is groaning for His return
The King of Kings
The Faithful One

The Greater Moses
Fulfiller of the Law
Greater Elijah
Causing the lame to walk

Our eyes will open
Our hearts are won
At the sound of
The Triumphant Son

We proclaim
the coming king
From His throne
Coming with peace
Yet coming with sword
We live in the Hope
Of your finished work

Lord we await
We know you will come
For all your people
The blood bought ones
